Carson`s Woodside Tavern

This place has a beautiful view. We enjoyed dinner on the patio. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the scenery here. It is absolutely serene!!

Very good food. I have been here a few times in the last two months. The Southwest chicken is great. Service is good, sometimes a little slow. The outside had a great view, only real dislike is that the best view is at the outside bar, therefore the tent blocks the view when sitting in the eating area.

Great meal, salad soup and Mac n cheese ccx to die for. Staff have wonderful personalities and provide quick right on service Owners Bill and Sue Carson the Bomb!

Friendly family atmosphere... everyone always smiling ...GREAT FOOD !!! what's not to love about this place ....in the summer give it 10 stars!

I think it's very good, but, It's my second visit for a late lunch and both times the wait was reasonable for the table, the waitress was fine, but then we waited and waited for the food to come from the kitchen. The food was good, but the wait seemed too long for what we ordered.The area is beautiful, the outside patio has a gorgeous view of the lake.

The service was remarkably fast. Within minutes we were asked what we wanted to drink. A few minutes later, our food order was taken. And in less than 10 minutes, or food was served. And I didn't see many empty tables, so it's not like they weren't busy. Maybe we just had an easy order. Still, a lot of other restaurants wouldn't have been this fast. My wife had the apple and brie sandwich and I ordered what was listed as beef on weck. Both were actually very good sandwiches. My one and only problem is with the name. Some people might know that beef on weck originated in Buffalo, NY. But everyone from Buffalo knows the kümmelweck roll is not a plain roll. This was an excellent roll, it just wasn't a kümmelweck roll. Total experience was still a 5 star rating. Ignore the semantics of my review. Carson's is definitely doing something(s) right! We'll be back.

Annual Christmas family gathering for the second year and everyone loved coming here again. Service was impeccable as well as quality of food. They were able to accommodate our party of 13 in a short period of time on a Saturday evening and wait was less than 10 minutes. Cajun shrimp and chicken was excellent. Had a nice variety of local IPA's on draft. Carson's is a great way to spend a quality night out and you won't be disappointed.

It was good food. Gave away a star because service could have been a little faster and server was not very friendly. I am a server as well and you need to introduce yourself to your table and smile. I like that they have music playing and I am sure in spring and summer it is pretty on the lake.

The place has everything you would want in a casual dining experience. They have fatastic food along side live music inside or outside on multipul spacious patio's with a 180°view of Saratoga Lake.

My wife's Southwestern Chicken salad was good. My Ruben was the worst I have ever had. Couldn't take a bite without pulling all the corned beef out at one time.

The boneless chicken wings are the BEST ever! Then we topped it off with their flourless chocolate tart... Superlicious! Looking forward to checking them out in summer!

Food was excellent Bar was great Owners were so lovely and caring and I had a great experience. Highly recommend and the patio was so fun for a large group !

Nice small restaurant with a nice outside deck. They have a good selection of craft beer and the menu is pretty diverse. The spinach salad is amazing. The fish and chips has two huge pieces of fish and the fries are beer batter dipped and very good. The blackened shrimp and chicken over fettuccine is excellent and mildly spicy. I took half of it home. The service was friendly and efficient. The views of the lake are limited and not visible from where we were seated. We ewil be back to try some different options. Overall we had a very good experience. It was just a little pricey and salads are not included with the meal.

Just went for drinks and apps but experienced great service and fairly priced drinks . Food was pretty good.

Gorgeous view atop Saratoga Lake. Staff was kind and attentive. The food was very good w large portions. The make their own fettuccini. Wish we discovered this place sooner. Great lunch experience.

First time there and I was impressed. The food was great and the service was just as great. The staff was friendly and efficient. The establishment is very neat and clean! I will definitely go back in the summer to enjoy the view!! Great job Carson’s 👏🏼

Both food and views are great. While waiting for our table we were seated outside on a patio overlooking Saratoga lake. Within 15 minutes our table was ready. Service was fast and wait staff pleasant. Food was good, the mixed drinks were excellent. Definitely worthy of another visit!

This place has the best food. You would think perfectly cooked chicken would be common, but it is a rare thing. This is one of the few places I have been to with perfectly cooked chicken. Try the Lakeside, you will not regret it. The view is amazing, and the staff is very friendly.

Carson's is top notch. Great view, great staff, great music, great food, great drinks. What else can you ask for?

Someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing. Went on mussel night and had the leek cream sauce - mussels were cooked perfectly and you could eat the sauce out of the bowl with a spoon it was so good. Wings with house ranch were very good. Fried fish was fried to perfection - super crispy but not over done. I could tell by some of the other plates I saw pass by, like the scallops, that whoever is in the kitchen cares about the food they are serving. Great view of the lake from the deck is a total plus - really nice outdoor bar area with view as well.

Tried to have dinner here last night but couldn't get a parking spot. Tried earlier today and got 1.The patio wait for dinner (@6pm) was 90 min and dining room was 60 min. We sat in the bar which was fine. Food was excellent! Would definitely recommend just know that you will probably have z wait.

The staff there was very attentive. She was personable, made great recommendations and provided great customer service. We will be back.

Such a great place! Great staff, great food! And such an amazing location, overlooking Saratoga Lake!! Its got it all. Outdoor bar and patio, restaurant and indoor bar. I highly recommend checking this place out!!

Dinner on the deck was amazing... Had the haddock and a craft draft... Best lake view of any restaurant in the area.

Friendly, attractive tavern on the water! Lunch menu offered nice variety and quality! Plan to return for dinner.

I didn’t like anything about this place.The Lakewood salad with chicken I had was terrible the chicken was so dry I took 2 bites and couldn’t eat anymore I told the waitress about my chicken and she didn’t offer anything else to me I think It should have been taken off my check but it wasn’t. I will never go back here again and I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Went on a Monday night which we found was extremely busy due to Trivia night. It took the food a bit to come out but not horrible. The waitress was great and spot on. The meals for my two friends were great but I ordered the Woodside sandwich and the sliced beef was very dry. This will not keep me away though because my husband and I have been there with an outstanding meal. It was just a very busy night. Will definitely go again.

Bartender was fantastic and the food was great. My group had a great time!

Have yet to have a bad meal. Definitely try the Woodside or any prime rib dish. Perfectly cooked every time. Fantastic fries! Mussels are nicely done and specials are always good. Excellent service from a friendly staff. Our new 'place'. Do yourself a favor and get a coupon from Local Flavor but remember to tip appropriately!

Nice to be here in the winter. Outdoor patio is a prime summer spot, crowded in winter as well. Trivia well-run and organized.

The food was overall good however the patrons weren't as good. As we were leaving we passed two white women who look at us and made a subtle comment as to the fact of why we were there. Didn't know it was a white only establishment? The workers didn't treat us this way but it appears the people who frequent there believe its only exclusive to whites. That was our first time there but Will not get my business again

Excellent location and amazing food! They have done a TON of work to this property. I will be back!
